Beast from the east
The notice is at the entrance to Coates farm.
This is the other side.
This ‘beast from the east’ (there have been others!) happened when freezing air drawn in from Siberia collided with a wet and windy Atlantic storm over Britain. Snowfall closed schools and halted train travel. Hundreds of motorists were stuck on the M80 near Glasgow for up to 13 hours, with some spending the night in their cars and others abandoning their vehicles.
