The society has been researching the history of the Abbey for some time and recently distilled this into an information panel. The panel can be viewed close to the site of the Abbey next to the footpath along the north bank the Tyne River near the Abbey Bridge and Abbey Mill Farm.
The panel includes a reconstruction of the type of buildings that once stood in the field. At the same time you’ll find an explanatory page on the website here (or use the QR code on the panel) and a Trail leaflet that will highlight some of the key features around Haddington that are accociated with the Abbey.
The panel was erected with kind permission of landowner Billy Logan and designed by Peter Blood.
