Our main purposes and activities, are to:

  • Foster interest in the history and archaeology of Haddington and its environs through annual programmes of meetings visits and outings
  • Foster research into local history and to publish findings from time to time
  • Encourage awareness of the historic fabric of Haddington and of the need to conserve and protect it
  • Develop an appreciation of wider national or international historical topics in so far as they have impacted on Haddington and its environs.
